This album came about while working on a live tribute to Nina Simone. I decided it was time to record something new. Songs that I love that one doesn't hear often. Or songs that are heard often but not in their entirety. We did it live in the studio. It really is a great way to record.
Regina is a former member of the Grammy Award winning Sounds of Blackness recording with them at Jimmmy Jam and Terry Lewis' Flytime Studios in the late 1980's. And although a featured vocalist on the Two Queens One Castle soundtrack, written and co-produced by Grammy nominee Jevetta Steele, this is Regina's first solo effort.
